Today for #Haatirecommends we would like to draw your attention towards the zero-waste lifestyle movement.
Bea Johnson a French American women is widely credited with beginning the zero-waste lifestyle movement. The movement is all about reducing trash output, which means no plastic, no wrappers, no garbage. The approach seeks to maximize recycling, minimize waste, reduce consumption and ensure that the five steps of zero waste lifestyle are followed.
These five steps being: - Refuse, Reduce, Recycle and Rot.
These guidelines help us to move forward towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future. In India the Zero Garbage City Movement began in the 2000s when a few cities were experimenting with waste segregation, and the movement gained momentum in 2006 with the launch of Swaachha Bharat Abhiyaan.
Fundamentally, the zero-waste movement is all about choosing a lifestyle where you constantly reduce waste and trash output. Are you in?
